Below is the grading rubric that is used to grade student art projects.

   1 point

Demonstrated a desire to work your artwork until it was your personal best. Accepted teacher advice on improvements and made changes. Followed project steps and directions.

You are willing to listen to teacher suggestions to improve your artwork. You made some changes to your artwork to improve quality. You followed most of the projects steps, but missed one or two. 

You made changes to your artwork when asked to, but took little interest to improve your artwork. You took the first try as your best try. You did not follow most of the project steps or directions.

Showed little interest in making a quality piece of artwork. Did not make changes to artwork or only made small changes that did not make it better. You took the first try as your best try and did not follow project steps or directions.

* In addition to project grades students are also given a participation grade every time they come to art class that is worth 3 points. To earn all 3 points students must get along well with classmates, clean up their mess, and follow Mrs. Goins' directions.
